This initiative seeks to improve the quality of incontinence products provided to all Medicaid members by establishing minimum quality standards for adult and youth size diapers and reducing costs for incontinence products while maintaining the existing provider (Durable Medical Equipment and Pharmacy) network.
All receivers must be enrolled in a New York Medicaid plan. Qualifying children must be 4 or older. Receivers must have a qualifying medical need, such as Autism, Diabetes, Parkinson’s Disease, Down Syndrome, etc. To be approved for incontinence supplies under New York Medicaid, the below is required: * Documented proof within the last six months that the items are considered medically necessary by a physician. * The medical reason for needing supplies. * The estimated amount of supplies needed per day |
